Preventing heat stroke is easy:
- Pay attention to the heat and modify your activities appropriately
- Don't wait until you're thirsty to drink more fluids
- Wear loose-fitting, lightweight, and light-colored clothing
- Drink plenty of cold fluids and avoid alcoholic drinks
Warning Signs of a heat-related illness include muscle cramps, dilated or constricted pupils, confusion or disorientation, headache, nausea, or vomiting as well.
