[ARCHIVED] Enon Pines Traffic Calming Virtual Public Meeting

EnonPines

The Department of Public Works has just completed a traffic-calming conceptual plan, as required by Section 9, of the Traffic Ordinance 2019-009, adopted by Mayor and Council on May 14, 2019. The conceptual plan recommends three alternatives to addressing the speeding issues within Enon Pines Subdivision. The Department of Public Works is holding a Virtual Information Hearing to present the alternatives, address any questions that you may have and outline the next steps

Input from residents is needed in two activities; a brief survey and participation in the virtual meeting.

1. Plan to attend the virtual meeting

  • When: Thursday June 9, from 6:30- 8:00PM.
  • ZOOM Address: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/81831953187?pwd=bVYzcGgxUFpDdHNsRklrcHZralZQUT09Meeting   ID: 818 3195 3187
    Passcode: 499792

Attendees will be able to use the “raise your hand” feature in Zoom to ask questions.

2. Please cast your vote in favor of a specific alternative. The Traffic Calming policy requires only one vote per household. As outlined in Section 10, subsection F of the Traffic Calming policy “In order to be eligible for the installation of traffic calming measure the initiator must secure signatures in favor of the installation of traffic-calming measures from eligible petitioners representing 80% of property owners in the neighborhood and 90% of the property owners along the affected road affirm their support for installation of a traffic calming device.”
