Every day in the United States, 317 people are shot, according to Brady United, a national grassroots organization seeking to curb gun violence. Of those, one-third die. To help reduce the number of gun-related crimes in the City of South Fulton, District 2 Councilwoman Carmalitha Gumbs, the City of South Fulton Police Department and Pastor Troy will host the Third-Annual Gun Buyback on Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Butner Road Police Precinct at 3220 Butner Road, South Fulton, GA 30331.
