District 2 Councilwoman Carmalitha Gumbs and community volunteers will distribute
free school supplies at Westlake High School. The drive-through event will take place from 11
a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Each student will receive a backpack filled with pencils, pens, paper, scissors, and a notebook,”
Gumbs said. “It is important for South Fulton families to know that our city cares about making
sure they are prepared for another round of virtual learning due to the pandemic.”
Parents and students are asked to remain in their cars for safe, contactless distribution of school
supplies. Contact Legislative Specialist Joy Stewart at (305)-224-2586 or email her at
