Biography
Councilman Corey A. Reeves is a South Fulton District 5 native who earned a degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Brewton-Parker College in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. He is the vice President of Aldridge Services, Inc., an environmental consulting firm.
Councilman Reeves continues to give back through volunteering in his local community with a focus on providing scholarships and certifications to youth who seek opportunities for advancing their career in the construction, environmental and materials testing field. He also has a special interest in STEM and is committed to bringing more opportunities for District 5 youth to learn and practice the discipline.
An advocate of small business, Councilman Reeves sits on the boards of several nonprofit organizations and has served as the secretary of his community association. He hosts a weekly Monday video conference, which serves as a platform for subject matter experts, city officials and local businesses to speak on relevant topics. The meetings are open to the public, and citizens are encouraged to join to become informed and actively participate in the positive changes taking place in their community.
Councilman Reeves hosts the annual Outlaw Classic basketball tournament, and event named for local basketball legend Elbert Outlaw that features separate competitions for 10 and under and 11 to 12 age groups. He also sponsors the annual Midnight Madness event, which is open to players of all skill levels. Players must complete a class prior to each night of games to build their trade skills and financial literacy.
