On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 was signed into law by President Biden to mitigate the continuing efforts of the pandemic. The City of South Fulton was allocated American Rescue Plan funding of which $1.4 million has been authorized to continue funding activities for the Rent and Mortgage Assistance Program throughout the City.
The program will be administered by monitored by the Department of Community Development. Through the bidding process, the City of South Fulton has selected Anser Advisory, a program management and advisory firm, to administer all activities associated with intake, documentation review, and application screening.
All applicants must be a resident of the City of South Fulton. Qualifying applicants can receive up to $20,000.00 to cover rent and/or mortgage arears. All payments will be made directly to the landlord or mortgage company.
The program will continue until all funds have been depleted.
