About Us
Great parks have the power to increase quality of life and strengthen the fabric of the City of South Fulton. Our vision is to provide affordable recreation, social and cultural opportunities for all City of South Fulton residents with a focus on families, youth development, adults and building healthy communities.
The newly expanded Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department plans and organizes activities for 13 parks, 5 recreation centers, 2 tennis facilities and 2 art centers. This includes an indoor natatorium, gymnasiums, fitness centers, theaters, community buildings, athletic fields, outdoor pavilions, playgrounds, walking trails, a community garden, and a dog park.
The programs and services offered by the department provide value, quality and emphasize the equitable distribution of resources throughout the city. Our scope includes partnerships with associations, contractors, vendors and key community leaders. We offer these programs in safe, attractive and well-maintained facilities that reflect our community’s needs and interests.
