Captain T. Pritchett - Training & FTO Program

Capt. Tamika N. Pritchett joined the South Fulton Police Department, at its inception March 26, 2018. She has held the rank of patrol officer, detective, sergeant, lieutenant, and captain.

During her 18 years of services, Capt. Pritchett has served in many different capacities. In her current role, she oversees the Training Section and Field Training Officer Program within the Office of the Chief - Office of Professional Standards (OPS). Capt. Pritchett is a certified POST Instructor,  she is responsible for a comprehensive training program with established guidelines that meets GA POST standards, state law, and departmental and state accreditation training requirements. 

Previously before joining the new city, she was a Police Lieutenant with the Fulton County Police Department in the Criminal Investigation Division. She was responsible for supervising detectives, crime scene technicians, evidence/property manager and administrative staff while increasing the clearance rates for Part I crimes.

While at Fulton County Police Department, Capt. Pritchett also served as a Detective where she was awarded Detective of the Year. She was committed to developing community relationships and solving crimes, especially against women and children. Capt. Pritchett also previously was a Police Field Training Officer (FTO) and Patrol Officer on Patrol and Crime Suppression Unit.

Capt. Pritchett began her career as a Parole Officer and Electronic Monitoring Specialist in March 1999, with the Georgia Pardon and Paroles (now Department of Community Supervision). She spent over five years successfully monitoring hundreds of convicted felons and assisted in their transition back into society.

Capt Pritchett is a graduate of Frederick Douglass High School in the Atlanta Public Schools System and holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and minor in Forensic Science from Savannah State University.
