City Anniversary Taskforce

Members

The Taskforce shall consist of up to ten members who are appointed by the governing authority as follows: (1) One member may be nominated by each member of the City Council and the Mayor; and (2) Each member shall be approved by a vote of the majority of the City Council.  The Taskforce will also include a staff liaison appointed by the City Manager who will obtain approval and coordinate the use of fire and police resources and employees when necessitated. Members of the taskforce shall be residents of the City and nominees by district. Taskforce members shall possess expertise in one or more of the following areas: special events planning, marketing, performing arts, promotions, entertainment, production, volunteer recruitment and management of public relations.

Members shall serve a term consistent with that of the member of the City Council (or the Mayor) making the nomination.  Taskforce members shall serve no more than two terms, either consecutive or non-consecutive, and a term shall end upon the swearing in or re-swearing in of the member of the City Council (or the Mayor) who nominates the Taskforce member.
