Report Traffic Violations
The South Fulton Police Department strives to improve driver education and voluntary compliance with traffic laws. Citizens who observe a red light violation or any other dangerous driving behavior are encouraged to contact the Traffic Unit at --, and provide the license plate number of the vehicle involved in the incident and a description of the incident. Any issue that is in progress or an emergency in nature should be reported immediately by dialing 911.
These violations or concerns can also be reported online through the use of a Traffic Enforcement Request. The Department welcomes the reporting of any traffic concern observed by persons in the city and encourages the use of these methods to report such incidents.
The Office of Professional Standards – Internal Affairs (OPS-IA) provides a variety of ways to file a police misconduct complaint. A completed, signed statement form must be received within 90 days of the date of the incident.
Complaints against any South Fulton Police Department employee will be accepted from any source at the OPS-IA or by any supervisor at any facility in the Department, regardless of the location of the alleged occurrence.
OPS-IA investigates the following allegations: harassment; use of unnecessary or excessive force; use of language or conduct that is insulting, demeaning, or humiliating; discriminatory treatment; retaliation for filing a complaint with OPS-IA; and failure to wear or display required identification or identify oneself by name and badge number when requested to do so by a member of the public
Complaints can be submitted:
By email to any SFPD Supervisor (scan and attach to email)
Mail to the South Fulton Police Department address
By dropping forms off at any SFPD precinct (all will forward the complaint to OPS-IA)
Complaints can also be forwarded to Capt. G.T. Johnson and Sgt. T. Jackson. Please fill out the attached statement form with detailed information regarding your complaint:
